September 29, 1955
It is almost certain Elvis performed at the Aubrey Arkansas, High School with the Louvin Brothers.
September 29, 1956
Elvis and Nick Adams returned to the Memphis Fairgrounds for the Mid-South Fair and Elvis went on stage for a quick bow with Irish tenor Dennis Day.
September 29, 1960
Elvis had a luncheon interview at the set of Flaming Star with Vernon Scott. Together with some other friends from Memphis, Gary Pepper, a 27 year old MS victim, whom Elvis called his friend. Gary stayed in the inner circle of Memphis' friends until his death.
September 29, 1963
The soundtrack recording for Kissin Cousins began. They started at 7.00 p.m. till 3.30 a.m. Elvis did not record his part because he had a cold. He did came over though to meet the director, Gene Nelson, who also played congas with the band.
September 29, 1966
Elvis had an appointment at the studio to get his hair cut. Instead of that he had his hair cut at home and arrived to late for his recording session. However, by midnight he had completed several songs, including She's A Machine.
September 29, 1974
Elvis performed at the Olympia Stadium, Detroit, Michigan at 2.30 p.m. but due to illness Elvis only performed there for 30 minutes.
September 29, 1975
Through Georg Klein Elvis got the message singer Jackie Wilson suffered a stroke. Immediately Elvis sent a check to pay for the hospital expenses and medical bills.
