ON THIS DAY IN ELVIS HISTORY October 17

Elvis, Scotty and Bill appeared after a Big Free Hillbilly Amateur Show at the Memorial Stadium, El Dorado, Arkansas.
This was the date of Elvis' second-degree black belt. He got a certificate with his name on it, which he carried at the time of his death.
Elvis returned once again to the Quartet Convention where he sung with James Blackwood, Hovie Lister and bass singer J.D. Sumner. Backstage their picture was taken.
Elvis performed at the Metropolitan Sports Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
